Fresh mulch is one of those small upgrades that punches way above its weight. It takes beds that look tired and worn out and gives the whole front of a home a clean, put-together look almost instantly. That contrast between dark mulch and green plants is hard to beat.
Here's what we were working with - two separate bed areas across the front of the home, both with established shrubs, ornamental grasses, hostas, and perennials already in place. The bones were solid. The beds just needed a fresh layer to bring everything together and make those plants stand out.
We laid down a rich, dark mulch throughout both beds and worked it in cleanly around each plant. Beyond curb appeal, fresh mulch does a lot of practical work too. It holds in soil moisture, which matters a lot during hot stretches, and it helps keep weeds from getting a foothold. Less watering, less weeding - it's a straightforward win.
This kind of work falls right in line with our lawn maintenance and landscape consultation services. Sometimes a homeowner just needs a fresh set of eyes to identify what will make the biggest difference. A mulch refresh is often at the top of that list, and the results speak for themselves.
Whether your beds are already in great shape and just need a refresh, or you want to talk through a bigger landscape plan, we're happy to help figure out the right next step for your yard.
