Sometimes a yard just needs a reset. Not a full overhaul - just fresh material in the right places to bring everything back together. That's exactly what we did here. Fresh red brick chips wrapped around the entire front of the home, tucked neatly around the foundation shrubs and bed edges. Clean, consistent coverage that makes the whole front of the property look sharp.

The brick chips do more than just look good, though. They help with moisture retention around the plant roots, reduce weed pressure, and protect the soil from washing out during heavy rain. It's one of those upgrades that pulls double duty - curb appeal and function at the same time.

Out back by the shed, we topped the area off with new light-colored crushed stone. It fills in the space between the concrete and the shed nicely, gives you a clean surface to walk on, and handles drainage well. Gravel in areas like this keeps mud from building up and makes the whole setup easier to maintain long-term. No grass to mow, no bare dirt, no mess.

This is the kind of work that comes out of a good landscape consultation - figuring out which materials make the most sense for each specific area of the property. Red brick chips up front to complement the brick exterior. Crushed stone around the shed where function matters most. Little decisions like that are what make the finished result look intentional rather than thrown together.

If your beds are looking tired or you've got a muddy area around a shed or driveway that needs addressing, this is one of the most cost-effective ways to fix it. Fresh material goes a long way.
