Overgrown beds have a way of sneaking up on you. What starts as a few weeds here and there turns into a full mess that wraps the entire house. That's exactly what we were dealing with here - beds that had gotten out of hand all the way around the foundation. The plan was simple: rip it all out and start fresh.
We cleared everything, re-edged the beds clean, and brought in fresh rock to cover the whole run along the house. New plants went in at key spots to add some life without making it high-maintenance. The rock does a lot of the heavy lifting - it keeps weeds down, looks sharp, and holds up through the seasons without needing constant attention.
One thing we also handled was drainage. You can see the corrugated pipe routed right along the foundation bed to move water away from the house. That's something a lot of homeowners overlook when they're just thinking about curb appeal - but water sitting against a foundation causes real problems over time. Getting the drainage right was just as important as the cleanup.
The finished beds run clean all the way around the house. From the front corners to the side runs and into the backyard where we even dressed up a birdbath area with a fresh ring of rock, the whole property got the reset it needed. It's the kind of work that makes a big difference in how a home looks from the street - and in how little time you'll spend maintaining it going forward.
